actually ginger pear plum sauce. it’s kind of like apple sauce but made with the fruit I had in the fridge. it’s great on flat-bread with peanut butter.
4 pears peeled and chopped
5 plums peeled and chopped
1 large chunk of ginger peeled (2-3 in.)
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
put all ingredients in a heavy bottom pan. bring to boil slowly. stir often. simmer gently until thickened about 1-2 hours. remove ginger.
