yum!

these are easy and fun to make. i got the recipe out of a penzey’s spice catalog. next time i make these i will have the kids help me decorate them.

1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup peanut butter
3 1/4 cups gluten free oats
chocolate chips

in saucepan melt butter with sugar and milk. stir in salt, vanilla and cinnamon. bring to boil, stir regularly.
measure peanut butter in a bowl. pour sugar mixture into peanut butter. mix. add oats. dough will be sticky but will thicken as it cools. shape into cookies when cool enough to touch. decorate with chocolate chips.
refrigerate.
